Since 1992, CCLCS has taught English as a Second Language to immigrants and refugees through the LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) program. The LINC ESL program at CCLCS is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
Over the years, we have provided quality language instruction to more than 12,000 newcomers, helping them to adjust and integrate to life in Canada. Our classes are full-time, and free to Permanent Residents and Convention Refugees. Our class schedules are 8 weeks long, but we accept new students anytime. All our instructors are experienced and trained professionals.
Students in our LINC program are from many different language backgrounds. Our students use English to share their experience, knowledge and opinions, and to make friends. Students say CCLCS is a welcoming environment where they feel relaxed and comfortable studying English.
CCLCS also has a TESL program, to train teachers to teach English as a Second Language. Many of our LINC teachers graduated from our TESL program.
CCLCS is at the Bathurst station, on the Bloor subway line. It is very convenient for students from across the city, all year round.
